Does anyone hve any experience with these subs? I'm still deciding if I want to go with a custom enclosure or just a generic pre-fab box, then sealed or ported. I'll be feeding it about 350w from my amp any recommendations from experience with these subs?

well thats a new sub that just came out..you should know that. i have worked with both the w3v1 and w3v2. both rocked, so ill assume that this one is the smae, but better. i would say to build a box to spec, nothing special, no fiberglass. dont use a prefab unless it meets the exact manufacturer specs, which is highly doubtful. make sure its a sealed box too.
They can get pretty loud in a ported box....my V2's sure did. Sealed just wasnt doing it for me.

I know they're brand new so thats why I was wondering if anyone else worked with them yet. I believe I'll be amung the first few to use them in my area.
Once I get the sub I'll start on the enclosure. I'm more of a sealed box person. I'm not looking for anything too crazy, just a little bottom end to go with the polk SR6500's up front. :)
They sound good sealed too. I ran em both ways.
But I must say...ported they one of the louder systems I've ever had.

JL's tend to sound and perform well in ported(slotted) boxes. Since they are most for SPL so yea

Actually JL is more SQ oriented. SQ has been their trademark forever. They dont have a single sub that is considered an SPL sub (the W7 is about as close as it gets....but I still dont see the W7 wining SPL comps...so...)

well my buddy has the 2 W3V2's sealed and they sound great. I might be getting the v3's sealed in the future.

Picked it up today (great looking sub)! I just have to pick up a box for it and I'm set. I'll be going sealed.
