I got estimates on my car from where a lady backed into me. It is gonna be $867. the lady wanted to pay for it out of her pocket, but i don't know if she will when she sees how much it is. She might have to go through her insurance. That price includes a new bumper, a foglight, molding, a liscense plate brack, paint, and paint labor.

I also got a quote on my dented hood, pictured below. it would be $557. This in not a new hod, just repairing the old one and painting it. The paint it nearly twice as much as the bumper's paint($126). The actual labor to repair the hood is $152. Then paint labor is $239.

How does the second quote sound. I'm not concerned about the first one, because i don't have to pay for it. Just the second one.

IMO that's alot of money,

Just buy a hood from the link below and have it painted....it's a new hood not a old wrecked one, then you can sell yours for $50 or something.

How damaged is your bumber? from the thread when you described it, you said it wasn't bad at all....is it actually damaged? check out the site above for prices on the bumber also (get the GT bumber, then later get the GT back bumber and ground effects)

I thought all the lady did was create a few scratches......that sounds like an awful lot of money. If it was previous damage, as you mentioned, I cant believe the adjuster will approve that.....

After closer exmamination, i noticed that the bumper cracked with the pressure. I didn't notice it atfirst b/c of the liscense plate. They said it is unrepairable. It does appear to be very badly broken until you get under the car.
