Quick question

My front underbody light is broke and I need to take it off to send it back to be replaced. I didn't install them myself so I'm not sure how to take it off. I see the screws that I need to remove from the brackets and all, the only the holding it on then is the wires. Do the wires just pop out of the light or how do I go about getting them off? Also should I turn the battery off when taking off the wires?

when doing anything electrical its always good practice to disconnect the battery. Otherwise you risk blowing a random fuse or a relay, which involoves more money spent un-needed. Ive never had underbody lights myself, so i may not be 100% right here, but the wire has to come unhooked somewhere, if its not on the neon end, then its at the other end of where the wire is ran to. Now you MIGHT be able to get away with cutting the wire midway and then reattaching it after its fixed, but that leads to another spot where the wiring itself can short out and blow the same fuse or relay you saved by disconn. the battery:)

The set I installed had long wires that went to a connection box. Follow the wire and you might find a point where they pull apart or unplug. Cutting the wire is the last thing you want to do because you create another place where something can go wrong.
