First off, just wanted to say Hello to everyone, this site is really great.

Secondly, I recently got a 96 grand am se. It's the base 2.4. Acquired it in the ever so popular "old lady passes" scenarios. The car is in amazing condition. Just wanted to customize it a little. Nothing too big, but maybe a sticker here or there and some fresh panels, still a little undecided. I wanted to know what you guys would recommend. I found that customgrandam.com site, and it is really helpful. I wanted to get another antenna right off the bat, and maybe replace the ac/heat panel. Does anyone know where I could get a new Pontiac sticker for the front of the car? That site only sells the solid stickers and I am looking for the actual Pontiac symbol. And lastly, even with the smaller engine, is there anything I could do to add a couple hp to it?? Im not looking to soup it up, but anything small that I could do would be cool. thanks in advance and take it easy....

.d.

my first comment: think twice about putting stickers on. personally I like cars without a bunch of clutter. you can "debadge" your car, which would obviously mean taking the badges off for a smoother look (somthing to consider). I guess you can browse the forums to see what other people have done and what you like.

for more hp, people will usually start with intake and exhaust... of course, you might be able to get some of the original hp back that has been lost to bad spark plugs, etc. (if these things aren't in good condition).

A lot of people have'em..

But.. you'd be better off shaving the badges.. And then just using the stickers :D

But's it's all a matter of personal preference

^ :agree:

I agree with Trish, I like the smoothness of using only the stickers. Sorry about misinterpreting your initial post... But yea, as long as they aren't some wacky color (ie pink on a green car :P), they look cool.

what color would you recommend on a white body? I am stuck between red and black, leaning towards black.
