stock ram air hood?

I looking for information on the stock hood that has the ram air scoops in it. IS it a stock hood? My neighbor bought one, and hes a second owner, and its all factory looking....

If you cant tell, im looking for one of these STOCK hoods, and all te stuff inside to make it a ram air. Thanks!

The stock hoods didn't come with equipment to make it a functional air intake (Ram Air). However, there have been a couple of people to fabricate one for themselves.

The stock hoods came as a part of the SC/T package (it was only the hood and the SC/T spoiler which were in the package).

You could buy a stock one from gmpartsdirect.com (or something like that), or you can look into these two similar hoods. One is a knock off of the SC/T hood (the only differences that I know are that the vents are shaped slightly different, and theres no line down the very center). How common was the sc/t package?
honestly i have only seen one in person, and it was my neighbors.
It didnt say anything about being a ram air version.
The ram air version doesnt have the ram air hood??? Does it just intake thru the front grilles or what?

Yes , the ram air uses the front gills to induct cool air , all except SE come with ram air regardless of the hood . The stock SCT hood is non functional .

Some guys have them up for sale on here http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=10 Or check a local scrap yard or e bay . You could use a CAI instead of the ram air , but if you want a factory look you can stick with the ram air .

the SC/T package was fairly common. I will see them every once in a while, although its definately not the norm.


look in the for-sale section, I thought I saw someone selling their ram-air parts.
