Ok So I've got this Neon light bar. It's one of those ones that you plug into the cigarette lighter and all that yadda.. It has an on, off, and beat to music setting. I was wondering if it's possible for me to cut the end off of it and put it in my trunk and put it in the spot where the trunk light already is but can I splice into that line and have my bar still work? Hope I'm not loosing anyone here.

Just hide the wires like i did (not in the pic, lol). Just make sure you keep the bulb.

just make sure that the transformer isn't in the cig. lighter plug. ie if there are only two wires running through that plug you are OK.

Ok, how did you guys hook up the wires to the factory light wires? Seen this tried before and it blew some kind of modulator under the dash.:(

So, the wires that lead to the light are + and -, and the light isnt grounded throught the metal clips that hold it on? Just wanna make sure so I dont blow anything up.
