Ok I got some alpine Type E subs two for $130
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Va0jLfLTKw1/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=520&id=essential_info&i=500SWE1042#Tab.

It sounded good for a day or two then my amp starts to fad in and out with the bass. Since this sucker is 15+ years old. I know it's time is about up. I saw this profile amp
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Va0jLfLTKw1/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&id=essential_info&i=489AP600#Tab

It seems to have good reviews on the net, but profile seems to be on the crap list. I don't want balls to the wall bass, just a little rattle.

I might replace my two boxes with a single box that's able to hold two.

Ok i need some comments, questions, clean jokes.

There are worse amps out there but your right, Profile certainly isn't high quality. My other issue is that I know you said you're not looking for major boom, but if you're only feeding those subs 100W each when they can take 250W it won't take you very long to wish you had more power. I don't know exactly what sort of budget you have, but if you could spare another 50-100 bucks you could probably get something in the "decent" range, quality-wise, that would put you closer to the RMS of those subs. Maybe something like this (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-fuPSgyAUrn0/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=500MRPM450). That way you could wire your subs together and run them at 2 ohms since, if I remember, those type Es are single voice coil, 4 ohm. Just my thoughts though.

In terms of the new box, if you go with that box you linked, you gain the option of porting it since I assume your single boxes are sealed. Though if you're more interested in SQ you'll probably be happy just leaving it sealed.

Hey man if you do get a single box and I would be interested in both single boxes, but are they 12's? and what is the external dim's on the box?

Since it seems like you're looking at something class A/B and cheap and good, I'd would say buy this amp:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=269-164

Run each channel pair bridged to each sub--you'll get 150Wx2 RMS that way, which is not only better than the Profile but it's "real" power--trust me this amp is better than that Profile by a good bit (don't be fooled by the price--the original price listed isn't a joke or a fake price).

I've got an original Aura RPM amp biamping my front stage and the amp is of high quality and it's pretty bulletproof. I haven't had personal experience with the RPM Stage2 amps (which are newer than mine is) but I've heard nothing but good things about them on forums like SoundDomain, CarAudio or Termpro. Several of the original RPM and the older MR amps of theirs benched very well, always putting out more than their rated power.

You won't be disappointed.

my vote is got Hifonics. Build your own box, it will be cheaper and you can make it to exact specs, which you will like more in the long run.

The Hifonics looks like a good choice as well. A little bit more money but it's class D (a good thing for running subs, in general) and has more power :)

However, note that you'll have to run it into 2 Ohms giving you 500W RMS (250W to each driver) as your drivers are 4 ohm impedance. So though you won't get the full power out of that amp, you'll still get plenty for those drivers :)

That Hifonics is class A/B. That should be enough power for those 10's not problem. Just wire them in parallel, set your gains and there ya go!
