Different Head Unit

I have a Pioneer DEH-P6700MP right now and I'm curious to know what the exact size is in my dash. I mean is it a 2 DIN or 1.5 DIN? I'd like to get a DVD player thats the same size as the opening on my dash if they have it. Do they make a 1.5 DIN DVD player? I DO NOT want a flip out screen.. blocks the vents.. looks tacky.. and well.. with the music and all it would be flopping around while open. So this is why Im deciding on a screen for the dash. if the dash is 2 DIN how hard is it to make it fit. If not I may just stick the JVC head unit that has the 3inch screen in the middle.. But I wanted an entire size screen.. if it was possible.

You have a 1.5 din in your 96 GA. Their are unfortunately is no 1.5 din DVD units out there. Your only options would be to mold a monitor to your dash, and pputa seperate DVD/CD unit in a remote location in your dash, or to go with a flip out. I believe a few members have glassed monitors to the dash bezel. Something like that wouldn't be to hard to do. and could come out looking as if it was stock if done correctly.

The opening is almost the size of doubledin. The 01+ ga's have double din opening. If you wanted that to fit you would have to do a lot of modifications.
