When I first got this car...the passenger hub bearing and passenger cv shaft needed replacing...I did so...Well, guess what? My hub bearing is shot again...not even 10,000 miles on it! wtf!?

My braking was HORRIBLE as hell...so I figured it was a rotor from the vibration and shit...Went and took my wheel off and I could push the wheel side to side with it on the ground.

"Damn this rotor doesn't look that bad...."

Took the rotor off and guess what? i found myself playing with my hub bearing...excessively... So WTF??? any ideas? or did the place who did my hub bearing just plain suck? ( Which they do... Tire kingdom. )...

My friends can not stand them and will never go there again...the only 1 cool guy who know's what he's doing...specializes in Rotaries...he has a 3rd gen RX7...I think it's twin-turbo, I dunno...never heard it run but he says it's laying 500 whp.

did you put it on or a mechanic shop..? was an impact wrench used to tighten the hub nut up? if they did that voids any warrenty.. and i would say try and fight that if that was the case

do you have 16" or larger rims?
fairly wide tires?

larger tires can put alot of stress on front end components, especially if your allignment isnt 100% to begin with.

another possiblity is just crappy parts.

was it an ebay wheel bearing? or did you get it from a reputable store with some kind of warranty?

I got it from a mechanic, $160 Wheel hub bearing, and I have stock rims/tires.

I know the real reason, It's a GM OEM part. GM sucks. =P

GM doesn't make wheel bearings and "buy" them the same as what you are ... AFAIK, they are made by SKF (one of the larger bearing manufacturers in the world) so if there is a real root to the problem, it would be with SKF and not GM :)

Yeah I know...but I wanted to feel special, because I never had a problem with my Ford...just my GM's... lol...isn't another one start with a K? I was told only 3 companies make them, I dunno...

Turns out I was testing my E-turbo on that bad wheel hub bearing. The rolling bearing went out...the mechanic said I as lucky to not lose my wheel since then...

Here was the signs:

Uneven tread wear.
I could jack my car up and move my tire excessively as if the lug nuts were loose.
When I painted my rims ( almost 2 months ago ), My rotor and caliper was pretty much free moving...didn't have money to replace it...Didn't think about the wheel bearing because it'd move up and down too.
My ABS light came on.
My VSS is a little off.
Excessive vibration in the right tire, and eventually it got to the point where it'd jerk the steering wheel. Yeah...
Oh did I mention, braking was HORRIBLE?
