99 alero problems

okay i know this is a grand am forum i have one but my mom has an 99 alero 2.4 which is close to a ga. well anyways for some reason whenever you turn the ac switch to the first two bars it wont actually do anything only the third and foruth work. Any got any clues as to way this is

You need to replace the blower moter resistor
