Hi everyone,
I have a 1998 pontiac grand am se. a couple months ago my left rear turn signal started intermittently working. when it didn't work, the left front turn signal would blink rapidly.
Last week the blue "high beams on" indicator light on the dashboard started blinking. It blinks whenever the car is on. The blinking blue light goes away if I turn the headlights on (rather than rely on the daylight beams).
A friend told me it is probably the multifunction switch that is defective, which often happens in grand ams. He said it's about $100.
A shop said it was just the high beam switch, and said the part was $100.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with the multifunction switch. Is the "high beam switch" part of this multifunction switch? I fI replace the multifunction switch, am I in essence replacing the "high beam switch" as well?
