cool. Are you going to fiberglass the amp rack too?
Why put all the time and effort into the stereo if the cars not running???
because im in proccess of fixing it lol, it was running after i fixed radiator. then broke down again after water pump died on me. still runs but id rather not run it if the water pump is leaking everywhere. i have a replacement and replacement belts and hoses. just gotta put them on after i finish saftey inspection (failed they claimed rear brake cylanders were leaking so i just have to bring it back up and let them look at it)
car was a total mess when i got it. couldnt even see the green, now indows worked, radiator had a gash tha i could put my finger in (blew out somehow) brakes were shot. but hell the car was free so i put a bit of effort into it and it ran. runs decent for age and mileage, but you knwo hwo it goes, strengthen one area and the weakr areas break.

nope not at all. how long do these cars usually last? it has 160k on it now. replaced so far
waterpump, radiator, most of the hoses, air filter, serpentine belt, spark plugs, trany fluid, oil, fuel filter, rear brake cylanders, and pads.
can i expect more life out of the engine and car itself with just regular maintenence or will i need a big overhaul soon?
edit, nah not gonna glass the rack, gonna glass some tweeters into the a pillars and rear doors i think though, need some more vocals to keep up with subs

I'm not sure how long the car will last. I think ive seen a mid 90's ga at 220,000 miles thats still runnin but ive also seen one slowly plunk out at about 190,000. You sound like you know how to take care of cars and are treating it good so I would guess that you're in good shape for now but anything could happen.
I prolly would've waited until I got the car runnin better to put that whole system in, but hey it looks like its turnin out to be one of the better door speaker installs ive seen on a ga and its not hurtin anything.
Good luck on getting ur ga to run!

very nice i like the way it came out. how much time have you put into it already?
the doors took me like a couple days. box i made in a few hours and rack took me a couple hours. like a week total maybe to get all the components built then a couple hour install.
it was easy to isnatll though i completely stripped the interior for a full detail. the car was never cleaned since 94 from the guy i got it from he was a real slob

i planned on fiberglassing my GA doors but never got to its since the GA is dead now :(
that stinks, it was a fun project and made the SQ so much better then the stock 4x6 or whatever they were
