Just wondering if anyone has tried the metra adapter listed in the sticky on a 99 grandam coupe because crutchfield says that the adapter will not fit the car. Also wondering if anyone has tried one of these http://www.crutchfield.com/S-f0UHxOYkThl/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=182850&I=044K101319 to get an extra set of speakers up front (Am open to other ideas because that is sort of expensive) The speakers up front will be 6.5"s. Thanks! =)

that adaptor is designated as a sunfire/cavalier adaptor, but I guess it works on the GA also.

Really there's no point in adding more speakers to the front unless you're going for a rediculous SQ setup, and if you think the $150 is too expensive for those...I'm guessing you're not. Just get a decent set of 5.25" or 6.5" components and call it a day. :)

heheh You are right. i am not looking for a rediculous setup. My main wonder right now is should i buy new 6x9s for the back or use the 6.5s i have now with an adapter (i had 4 speakers from my old car and they are 6.5s) i am not sure wheather touse these and just splurge on a new head unit (the absolutly georgous DEH-P9800BT ) or just buy new 6x9s and put those in the back. (The reason i wanted the kicker thing was becuase i really don't want the speakers to goto waste so i dunno what i should do)

<------ Professional installer I know from experience.

The Metra speaker adaptors definately work. I've used them before on customers vehicles.

6.5's will probably sound better (depending on brand) than 6x9's but you'll lose bass response of course...do you have a sub? if you do then go with the 6.5's, if not or don't plan on getting one, then I'd go with 6x9's :)

Thanks for the confirmation Steve :)
