I'm planning to trade in my 2000 SE 2.4 for a 2004 GT 3.4L. I still owe like 5 grand on my SE, but I want my GT so bad!!! I saw one on carmax, with 2 tone leather interior and 10,000 miles on it. 2004!! I don't have a down payment, do you guys know where I can get a GT just by trading in my 2000 SE? No money down?

With that much money owed, I would stick with your current car. Otherwise you'll be in the hole for the cost of the newer car and then some, and be in even a worse financial position in 4 years.

I have to agree with Matt on this one.

If you were upgrading to a different car with something more to it, then maybe things would be different, but to upgrade from a 2000 SE to a 2004 GT, while you still owe on the SE, at least, is foolish, I think, because you're getting a the same car with different rims, slightly sportier seats, ribbed doors, and the same engine.

Yea.. I wouldn't do it.. It's not worth it..

Just do the GT Conversion :D

Find the front and rear bumpers.. sideskirts.. tails.. muffler.. spoiler etc...

There's someone on here now that did it.. Except he went to SC/T

Damn.. his username escapes me tho.. His name's Matt... Not that it'll help

Edit: His s/n is Rennation

Not quite. The jump from the 2.4 I4 to the 3.4 V6 is pretty substancial, especially upgrading the suspension at the same time.

I agree it would be a bad financial move but the cars are very different.

Oh, I failed to notice he had the 2.4L, sorry.

I thought he had the 3400. My bad.

Thanks for pointing that out Ben.

Well GT is a nice upgrade from SE, but it's still gonna be a Grand Am. If you really want to get rid of your car, I would look at other cars. I mean I still love my GA, but there are better cars out there for the same price.
