ok, i need a newer upgraded system and i'm kinda half way there

i have:

pioneer 740mp premier HU
audiobahn 5 1/4 in the front doors
3 way 6x9 infinity ref's for my rear

i need to replace:

factory tweeters
2 ooold mtx 12in subs
600w kenwood amp

and i want to add an amp for my speakers to improve quality and give more power. i need some suggestions b/c i don't want to spend tooo much and i'm thinking i will stick with 1 sub instead of 2. i dont really listen to rap that much so 2 is un-necessary nowadays

in the future i will replace my HU, but this one's doin just fine. i also am up for changing the front to components that way i'll have the tweeters/crossovers already..just suggest something. i might go with the same infinity reference components

i dunno. ...thanks for any input at all guys!

I second the comp. thought as well as amping them. Elite Car Audio (http://www.elitecaraudio.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=4) tends to have some good used comps from time to time. If I were in the market I think I'd pick some used seas or mb quarts, and don't cheap out on a poor amp. Keep the rears and don't bother powering them. With a good front set you won't want much in the back. I really recommend the idmax I've got as do so many other people. I think they run $2-300 but I found mine on ebay for less. Leaves you with asking what to power the fronts and sub with. Maybe:

4 channel, 2 for the front and bridge the rears for the sub
2-2 channel amps, front, bridge the other for sub(s)
2 channel & a mono
good heavens

yeah. thats a lot of amps and a lot of money.

lol

maybe something a lil bit cheaper? this thing doesn't have to sound like a show car or something

lol not 5 amps, just 1 of those lines. You could choose
1) 4 channel, 2 for the front and bridge the rears for the sub
2) 2-2 channel amps, front, bridge the other for sub(s)
3) 2 channel & a mono

Alpine Type S is a great sub for cheap. Good sound quality and gets fairly loud. Type R's, next step up from tpye s, are great subs. The red writing on the cone would look great with your car too. Memphis Power reference is great too. On ebay you can find a good amp for $200 or so. For components, MB Quarts sound great, Alpine sounds good too.

lol depends on the sub. For brand quality check out the good, the bad and the ugly*brands that is* (http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42767&highlight=alpine+boss+clarion)
