This is what I sent Monroe Tech Support:

Hello, I have a question about your struts/shocks. I recently
purchased a set of Eibach lowering springs and I am looking for a set of shocks that will work well with the lowered ride height (1.5" Front 1.3" rear.) I understand that the shocks you make are for original ride height and will not be ideal but I have no other options because no one makes a set for my vehicle. I have had custom work done on my vehicle by your shop in the past and have to say I was very pleased with the work performed.
Any ideas? Should I go with your economy or premium struts/shocks? Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Aaron

This is what they sent me:

Thank you for your interest in Monroe products.

Since your vehicle is lowered, the shocks listed for your vehicle would
not
work efficiently.

Below is a list of units we offer for your vehicle at stock ride
height.

I could try to match up shocks by dimensions, but I would need you to
follow the below procedure.
In order to verify the correct shock by length for your vehicle, the
following procedure can be used. Just a reminder, that matching shocks
up
by specifications voids the warranty of the shock. Monroe cannot
guarantee
the shock's performance for your vehicle due to the fact that the shock
is
not designed for your vehicle.

ShockAbsorberMountingStyleSheet.pdf)

One way to determine the compressed and extended length is to take
measurements from the chassis. To do this:

1.) Raise the vehicle off the ground while letting the suspension and
wheels hang freely.

2.) Measure from center of shock mount to center of shock mount (with
the
existing shock removed) this equals the extended measurement.

3.) Place the vehicle back on level ground, with all weight distributed
equally.

4.) Measure from the center of the upper shock mount to the center of
the
lower shock mount (this is known as the static length).

5.) Measure from bottom of bump stop to where the bump stop contacts
(axle,
spring, control arm, etc.)

6.) Subtract the bump stop travel (step #5.) from the static length
(step
#4.) this equals the compressed measurement.

You must also determine the upper and lower mounting type and size. For
loop mounts the inside bolt hole diameter is needed. For cross pin
mounts,
the bolt hole size is needed as well as the distance between bolt
holes.
Feel free to contact the Tech line for determining a shock by the
lengths
you have measured and if you have any questions concerning the
measurement
procedures. For pricing information, feel free to contact a distributor

kyb just made a new agx strut for grand ams that is said to be ideal with the eibach sport kit because of it's mild drop, check out grandamgt.com I think that's where I saw it, they're about 125 each I believe
