Ok I want to know if all of your cars do this. When I press the door luck button on the foor I have to press it 2 times for the doors to lock. Is it just my car or is that the way all of them are?

since my post was deleted for some odd reason, here goes again since it might be helpful to someone...
...there are different ways to have your doors lock, or if you choose, to not lock at all. look it up in the manual if you want to try something different.

I think the database backup didn't include a lot of the most recent posts because a few of mine are gone as well.

XtremeGrandAm, if you have an aftermarket receiver, that may be the reason your confused. Because when you press the door lock button once when exiting the vehicle, you will hear 3 chimes. That's for the seven sec delay.

I always press the lock button once because it honks like i have an alarm and it locks my doors. But why does it honk. Is it like a built in alarm or what. Why would you want a 7 sec delay?

The horn signals that the doors locked. Its not an alarm.
The 7 second delay is for if you press the lock once and you shut the door but you left your keys inside, you can open the doors back up without locking your keys inside.

Yeah I think thats why...now that you say something I remember it did chime back then when I had them......I need to get that stupid speaker for my door chimes since I already have the deck relocated
And about the posts i am also missing quite a few posts and my thread about my accident. I also assume its because of the backup copy not having all the posts
