I was just talking with my friends father at Easter dinner today and he is a test mule driver for G.M. He said that he has been driving a GA mule with the "ShortStar" V/8 from the now gone Aurora. The kicker is that it is a blown V/8! He said they are trying to work out some issues with the car, but that the new Epsilon platform and drivetrain is more than durable enough to handle the hp and torque. He said that awd will most certainly make it to production but only on the GXP version which will debut one year after the next gen GA. He also said that the supercharger may not make it to the GXP GA but the V/8 option probably will. He said that a decision is being made whether to leave the blown 8 to the Grand Prix GXP, because of the new Bonneville GXP and its hp rating which after it debuts in 2004 will get a blower option in 2005 or 2006. This makes alot of sense given that the 3.5 V/6 is the new engine for the 2005 GA GT.
