I have a 2001 Grand Am GT. Has anyone ever recharged the cooling on one of these? I bought a can of 134-A and put the whole can in but it still does not blow cold air. I do not believe it is leaking because it worked fine before I accidently pulled the wrong line off during a engine coolant fix. I put the can into the fixture with a black cap right behind the air induction. the only other cap was a blue cap way beneath the motor by the firewall. There is no way the can would fit back there and when I did get it back there, the fitting from the hose on the can would not even fit. Let me know if anyone has ever ran into this. Thanks

You used the wrong port , the blue cap is the low side port ( the one you put the refridgerent in ) you may have to jack the car up to get access to it . One can of that 134-a isn't gonna fill the system if it's completely empty . If it is empty it should really be vacuumed before it's refilled anyway . I suggest you go to a pro AC guy to get it checked for any leaks and recharged properly ... ;)

Figures, dang it. Is putting the R-134A into the other port going to hurt anything?
