looks good, I agree about the black spoiler though, stands out too much maybe if you had a CF too but I say get it painted if you can, and if you have the pictures hosted somewhere (ie cardomain or something) you can link to multiple pictures with the IMG tag

what company makes a carbon fiber sc/t hood? if so where can you get them and how much are they?

Leave it black, do a GT conversion, and do a two tone SC/T kit :)

you mean like this? :)

yea, I know the back piece isn't on yet, it is a pain to get it fitted right. still working on it...
and sorry about whoring up your thread...
the spoiler looks interesting. I was thinking a while back about what it would look like to have only the underside of the spoiler painted black. I sorta like it, but it will take me a little longer to form a solid opinion.
it would look good on a two-toned SC/T though :D

Dam 60 bucks to paint it, thats some deal. I would jump all over that.

the guy i talked to at the body shop, told me $60, but when i went back to check to see if they could get a hold of a sc/t hood, i asked again about painting the spoiler he told me $150, so i am going to leave it black, the first guy that told the cheaper price wasn't the guy that does the estimates. i am going to try for a carbon fiber sc/t hood, for the gt conversion and sc/t body kit would cost around $1,000 and up to do the whole conversion, i have a hard time finding cheap parts. and if i go with the gt conversion and add a sc/t body kit it will take a while to save the money up for this upgrade. and if i end up doing the sc/t kit i would get it painted black. to match the rest of the black parts on the car.

...you couldn't just paint the whole SC/T kit black. the front lip would be fine, but it would look really funny to do the whole sideskirts in black... at least those would have to be a two-tone.
good luck on finding the C/F SC/T hood. last I knew there were only 5 made, and since then the C/F supply has not been able to keep up with demand, meaning LONG waits on parts. I could be wrong, but this is what I've heard from others.

i agree that the side skirts would have to be 2 toned to look right, i think might go with the sc/t hood and get it painted to match or have it painted black, all depends on how it would look. does any one know of a site or place that have good deals on gt parts like door pannels, front and rear bumpers?

the cheapest place would probably to keep checking in the For Sale section here, and wait until someone gets a bodykit and doesn't need their old stuff.

Did they ever make an SC/T 4-Door?
BattousaiX23

when you buy a gt you can get the sc/t appearance package from the dealer you can get it put on a 2-door or a 4-door.

Looks great!
Im not usually a fan of things bolted on the trunk, but that one is very tastefull and adds that little something missing from its ass shot. Although I do agree with everyone who said it would look better if it was the silver body color, kinda sticks out like a sore thumb being black on a silver car.
If you dont wanna spend (or just dont have) the couple hundred dollars to have the spoiler painted I bet you could do an awsome rattlecan job with enough wet sanding and time/patience!

makes me think it is trying to be a Mustang :)

4 door sc/t's exist in great numbers! the girl i was trying to get with from school had one.... *im glad we didnt get together..... she got rid of the car, and her personality... and any other good quality she had*
back on topic, ive seen a silver sc/t that had the top area of the hoodscoops black (it was a decal, but looked good) with sc/t written in front of the scoops in that lil area... then the black stripes went to the back. it looked sharp... something to think about :)

Nice car man, get that spoiler painted and it will look sharp. I noticed your from the burgh, ever go up to cranberry or zelienople?
BattousaiX23
08-19-2006, 08:24 AM
i've been up to cranberry, zelienople kenny ross is where i got my grand am, i thought about making the spoiler silver it would cost me $150-$200 to get it done. i am going to find a cheaper offer, if i paint the wing i might want to get the mirrors painted to. and no i am not making it look a mustang, i didn't notice that some mustangs have black spoilers and the rest of the car another color until a week or two later after i got the wing.

the car looks good. maybe that spoiler would work if it were flat black, and you had other flat black details. generally speaking though, its tough to pull off a different color spoiler than the car.
in response to the 4-door sct...the first REAL SC/T concept was a 4 door. the "SC/T" appearance package came in either 2 or 4 door, its just a hood and spoiler.
the REAL SC/T concept:

Just a note about the Mustangs, the only ones with black spoilers and black hood stripes are the Mach 1's.
I can't wait to see the SC/T kit on your car, it would look really awesome in a two tone.

well, i am not doing the gt conversion, if anyone wants to know i already sold to someone on the forum. i don't know what direction i am going to go with it. i am open to suggestions, i plan on getting the gt tail lights, clear corner headlights and sc/t hood and possibly a hid kit. but here is a few updated pics after getting washed.
