hey ive read a few posts somewhere on this web site that people were saying that the grand am does not go full throttle because of the carpet gets in the way, and is it much of a difference when the carpet is removed hitting full throttle?

You shouldn't have any problems getting 100% WOT unless you have thick non-OEM floormats, or the mat is bunched up under the pedal.

Yes the stock floor matts get in the way of the pedal. Just replace them with thinner aftermarket matts or take them out. I keep mine in but when im at the track its the first thing i take out.

Brandon i garantee you have problems with that. Take your driver side matt out and look at the top right corner, you will see where your pedal has gouged the matt.
