Subject: Lupus Foundation of America - General Donati on Thank You

Washington D.C., Aug 5, 2006 5:33 PM

Dear Grand Am Owners Club:

The Board of Directors and I are deeply grateful for your recent and
very generous contribution of $104.00 to the Lupus Foundation of America.
Thank you so much for this important gift which is critically important
to continue and expand our programs of medical research, education and
patient advocacy.

The past year has been especially rewarding for us and the millions of
Americans with lupus and their families. Today, for the first time
ever, more than a dozen pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies are
investing in finding new, safe and non-toxic medications for people with
lupus. The federal government is responding to our efforts to elevate
lupus research and education to a more prominent place on the nation's
healthcare agenda. New sources of funding for medical research are
emerging from both the public and private sector. Our programs to educate
physicians about the latest research findings on lupus are increasingly
attracting attention. And, our efforts to educate the public about lupus
through the media are succeeding!

In 2006, our efforts to find the causes and cure for lupus will be
accelerated! We pledge to you that we will take leadership on all fronts to
bring lupus under control and find a cure. Your donation will
immeasurably help us to achieve this goal. We sincerely appreciate your gift and
promise to use it wisely and well!

Sincerely,

Sandra C. Raymond
President & CEO

P.S. In accordance to IRS rules, we are required to state in this
letter that you received no direct donor benefits in exchange for your
contribution.
