I am getting the gauge cluster for my quad and was wondering if I will have to replace any sensor of any kind. Can anyone let me know? Thanks.

by gauge cluster do you meen like you had lights and now are moving on to actual gauges. if thats the case some of your gauges will not work until you get the right sensor. like temp and oil pressure

actually you will only need to replace the oil pressure sending unit. I have done this and that is the only thing needed to be changed out.

And all I will need to get it the oil pressure sending unit? Nothing else? What about the extra gauges that are on the new cluster. Am I going to have to get sensors for those?

Thanks
Eric

AFAIK you will only need the OIL sending unit. Are you getting the cluster from a V6? Or a car that had a Q4 in it?

AFAIK??? What does that stand for? And the cluster is from a quad not the v6. That is actually why I am getting it because the owner got it from a 92 quad and he wanted to put it on his v6 and he was told he couldn't so I asked him if it was for sale and he told me it was. :)

yeah, all you need to replace is the oil pressure sensor, the voltmeter already works and you already had the fuel and temp gauge working on the old one... Just make sure you get the right one... There is one for the Q4 OHC and the Q4 DOHC, if the one you have doest work the one I have might work for you and I would be willing to get rid of it for a cheap price. I found out it was for a Q4 (dont know which one) but I have the V6... If that one doesnt work PM me...

I am going to do this swap and I need to know where to get one. Is it the same thing as the oil level sensor?? I have found the oil level sensor but I cannot find anything that has to do with the oil pressure. also if you could kind of point me in the right direction as to where to install it and how to install it... thanks
