anyways, I love our car-it's in great condition, and yeah, it seems to turn more heads than a plain ol' white, which it was. I have a baby to support, so the car isn't the first, second, nor third thing on my list of things 'I need to take care of' We all don't have hundreds of dollars that we can throw at a car. Our system doesn't crackle, doesn't fade, and it's top notch, compared to a lot of other systems out there. I'm not out for your respect, but because you expect me to crave yuor respect, I'll do the exact oppisite. It's my car. I love it. And that's all that counts.

Actually, some people would be suprised at who likes that green color. It grows on you, and sometimes I have to shoo away those girls who want my man (He uses the car also-he's the installer). I would date a guy with a lime green car (If I wasn't already taken), but I chose that color. I'm actually going to go with black tribal along the sides, a tall spoiler, a supercharger, and a whole new interior, possibly red and black or green and black. The idea behind the car origionally was a dragon, but since the poor can't afford-Tribal it is. We're hoping to have this car for decades-if possible. We have a long list of modifications, and a longer list for time it'll take.
It's not really that much of a ricer-it has a great acceleration-and we keep that 3.4L V6 in great condition. Not even a fingerprint in sight (He's a little obsessed with cleanliness) but thats how it stays looking crisp and fresh. And that new car scent (Scratch and sniff here) is awsome.
I don't know, ever since I saw that one movie when I was a young kid, I wanted a car. My mom had a 1977 Cutless Supreme with a 360 rocket engine, a plum purple shine and slight sparkle paint, black leather interrior, etched roses along the back windshield, and enough power to do 170 in a short spurt. I didn't know much, but I was always into cars.
My pontiac was a gift-A white used rental car-and I got it in 2004. Since I actually come from a deer ridden area, a buck rammed the passenger side of my car last year, and then road rage dented it in even worse when I moved up to Stockton. Someone rammed us after they had tried to illegally pass us from a turn lane to a straight lane. we had sped up to avoid them, and then they honked. after slowing down to let them pass on the right lane, then then attempted to ram us in the passenger side. I slowd down, but nmot quick enough because they caught our side doors with their van and pushed us violently into the median. I pulled the e-brake, then the brake, and tried to get him to speed forward while pushing him back into the street so I could avoid both oncomming traffic and the huge light poles placed along the median. THe power from the car pushed him back into his lane as he sped off, and I followed him, Brandon on the cell to the police. They told us to cease the chase, and pull over to wait for a unit-but not before we had gotten the liscence plate, make, and model of the car. My car was sadly crunched in on the passenger side, fenders dented, and doors slightly twisted. After a few weeks, our insurance took care of the car, and the ,am driving the van was arrested. I wanted to change the color of the car anyways, I threw in the extra money we were going to have the car painted, and had it changed (THe whole passenger side of the car had been sanded-and f'd up because the person we went to first to fix the problem screwed it up even more-he had no idea what he was doing.
And that is the story of the color change.

Also-the rims-brandon's idea. We couln't afford metal, but he liked those spinners more than anything else we had (We have some stories to tell about the other rims) but people do ask where we got them.

I like your car. I don't see to many bright colors like that. Very nice work. As stated before its yours, your taste. I'm not a fan of the fake spinners or real spinners but I give you both props . All in all nice ride and by the looks of it, it will stay that way. By the way , when you do the interior, do it in black with the green accents. That should set the interior off really nice.

I know not everyone has time to read all the threads. But I have specifically said. That My TYC Tails are going white (body Color). Plus the exhaust tips the left side was messed up by the shop. Take a look at my pics and you would notice the right side is tucked under the bumper. So open your eyes and read a little before you critisize.

So why is it your insulting me in this thread? If you wanted to give an opinion about my car why didn't you post it up when i posted my pics in "Members Rides"?

The reason why I insulted you was because not every car is made in the image to please you. She gave all of us the reason behind everything and you seem not that accepting. Her car isnt the first priority and by the looks of your car, I see the same with you. I picked those stuff out because you picked stuff out of her page. Every one is entitled to their opinion but when she explains her story you continue to bash/insult her car which demonstrates that you aren't a nice and mature member of GAOC

"Whatever floats your boat." You make your car to suit your personality. I guess that explains pink cars... And it is all about making your car different. I'm sure your car will come along at your own pace. That's how it will work with mine. Family and school first. To be honest I think it looks good in the shade, but when the flash reflects makes it loook weird. New rims I think it will come along decent. But only my opinion.

Yeah I have to agree with some, lime isn't my cup of tea. But if it would be a cuda, that would of been another story. Sorry to say but i'm not digging the hubcaps either, my "opinion" loose them and get something that wouldn't stand out as much. But if you like it thats whats important.

Yes but anyone who posts a pic is putting it up for critisism. I gave my opinion. I understand you dont like my tail lights and i can live with that fact. Not everyone is going to like the way i put my car together. But when i post my pics up it can go either way They can love it or hate it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Im not here to start a war i was simply giving my 2 cents. Everyone does it, If you think im not nice or mature enough for the GAOC im sorry, but i will always give my opinion weither its a good one or bad.

yeah, you gotta watch out for those pricks on the road. It's sad. To some people a car is just a lump of metal, to others it's part of their family or the love of their life - and leave it to trashy ass people to ruin it.

i dont feel like reading all the post the color is nice would have been better if u also got the mirrors painted.

hubs well if you would have gotten the ones where the spinner is on the inside i think it would look better. Im not hating you for them cause i remember having them on my first ride. lol they only lasted about 10 min before they flew off.

there is nothing wrong with ur system. its not top of the line but is decent.

At first I wouldn't say Ilike the green but after thinking about it if in the future you added some accents possibly black much like the older cuda's it would really look cool.
Even adding some badges whether they be chrome or black would provide some contrast.
When I added the hood scoops to mine some folks didn't like it especially because they are not functional but it sure made me smile tons, the important thing is enjoy it, its yours.
The hubcaps well I'm too old to appreciate them but thats my problem.....:}

Take Care, Pete

Yes, I used to own those same plastic caps with spinners inside. They too had a funny story, and it went like this

We were driving with two of our friends in the backseat. We had those hubcaps for about a week, and we were driving down a road laden with houses. turning the corner, the cap on th front passenger tire went spinning down the street, bouncing along. We noticed it, and went to retreive, but before acomplishing that task, another car pulled in front of us suddenly, a boy, possibly about 16, jumped out of their car, picked up the rim, and hopped back into the car, anc they spun off. Determined not to lose 1/4 of my $40 investment, I spun off after him, and we went after him. He ran a red light, where we were stuck. (ticket wasn';t worth it) ANyways, we were going home, gloomed, after running an errand, when we saw that same white dodge neon with a blue racing stripe and slightly dilapidated upholstry. I gunned it, squeeling the tires, pissed at him, and caught up, cutting him off and bringing him to a stop. We demanded the cap back, and he returned it, in the same sad condition it had been in when it bounced away.
End of story.
Anyways, yeah, we're going for aluminum or steels rims.

"Sony sucks" as a general statement is pretty lame and incorrect.

Anyway I dunno why some people are being so harsh on her. Sure I don't particularly like the colour or the hubcaps either, but that's just me. Why does she need to do what you like to "earn your respect"???

She's "earned my respect" in this context already--she had the car painted a colour that she liked, despite it being "out of the ordinary"; did things with it that she could afford and were to her personal liking; furthermore it looks like she takes care of the car as well so there's obviously pride in there as well.

Peronally, I would rather rock the steelies than sport those cheapo "spinners", but that's just me. As far as the color, not my cup o tea (unless it's on a 'cuda :P), but it's definitely different. The sound system.. whatever. There's no reason that everyone should have some kind of top of the line $2000 stereo system in their car. If it sounds good enough to you, that's all that matters. I've had some cheapo systems in cars that were good enough for me to listen to when driving to work and back, had a decent amount of bass, mids, and highs, and didn't cost me crap.

I do feel that I should point out that when your car "Turns heads" it's not always a positive thing.

No, seriously... I think if the person who owns the car likes it, then "f" everyone else. If it's your car, and you dig it, then who cares? Sure, this forum is kind of a "Here's my ride, what do you think?" kind of thing, but on the other hand, it's not a freakin' car show. It's not like everyone who posts in here is trying to win an award or anything. Most people don't spend thousands of dollars modding and tricking out their cars.... and in my opinion, just because someone does (or can afford to) dosen't mean that they can expect everyone else to do the same. Not only that, but I've seen cars on here that had an insane amount of money and work put into them, body kits, etc. that I thought looked like total ricer crap and everyone else was drooling over them. My point is there's no accounting for taste... people like what they like. :D

But with that said, I don't think anyone has been too harsh in this thread, really. Nearly everyone that's said negative things has also said "Hey, it's just my opinion" too.

Skipping all the stuff in the middle and getting back to the car. I wonder what it would look like with more black on it. Not a full on two tone but more black to accentuate the green and the black that is already there. PErhaps a black pinstripe and sidestripe on it? I'm not sure how you'd bring more in other than that.

Perhaps some dark wheels also. Not gloss black like the trim but more of a flat black. Darker than charcoal, but not the darkest black either.

Just a thought.

Maybe some black graphics on it also, just a few.
