... I decided to go to a local car show today. Excellent showing, as there was 500 cars over two days. There were 25 classes yesterday, and another 22 today. I entered in the domestic mild class, and took 2nd place out of the 9 in my class, so I definatley fared better this time around. In both shows that I've entered a neon took first, but this time the 06 cobalt ss and the 06 viper weren't in my class. The other good thing is that this time around no one asked me what year my GTO was.. LMAO. The first time i was asked that, I was rather speechless.

well I met the guy that painted the Fords parked on either side of me, so I made a few connections as far as paint goes:) He does beautiful body work and lives right up the road from me, so paint of some sort might just be in the future :)

nice job! Wish I could have said the same over the weekend. I was in a car show at my old high school, the band hosts a show every year. The ONLY problem is,theres no classes, its just what are the best cars. So yea I was up against only 1 other car like mine BUT I was also up against mainly all classic muscle and factory restored classics. Not fair in my opinion because out of the 100+ or so cars its mainly all classic muscle!

I wasn't upset last year because I didn't have much done other then the body kit. But this year I was a little ticked. I had my wheels on,more interior work done. Got some painted stuff under the hood and had a decent display(novelty signs and pictures of the car)

I don't blame ya man, I did well yesterday because of the classes. If I was up against classics and the muscle cars around here, theres no way I woulda come close to getting anything. The last show I did, I was in a class for 1983-present custom, as that was the only class that fit. Basically I got tossed in a misfit class at the first show, it was me, a viper, a zx3, a neon, a civic, a jeep tj, a camaro, an rx7... you get the point :(

Hey Dan, didn't even spend 90 minutes cleaning the car inside and out. 10 min to vacuum, 30 min to wash and 30 min to wax the next day. If anyones wondering, I'm using the new TurtleWax Ice this year, and this was the second waxing since june.
