I'm still really confused about this whole GT1 thing. I posted a link a while back of options lists for 1999, and in the link it listed leather as an option, not standard, for GT1. A mod told me the info was wrong, leather IS standard for all GT1, blah blah... then I clicked on a sticky on one of the forums... had a .pdf file for download for the options list for 2000.... which apprears to be a scan of an official Pontiac options document. http://www.gaownersclub.com/images/ga_options/2000.pdf
This also says leather is OPTIONAL for GT1.

So really... why is everyone so sure that the GT1 had standard leather for all years when every document and options list I find says otherwise? :???:

According to the documentation I've read, mine is a GT1, because it said that in '99, the steering wheel conrtols and something else... maybe the 6 way power seats or something weren't even available for the GT, but were standard on the GT1. But I don't have leather seats, which the documentation I've read says were only available for the GT1 that year, but not standard... but according to the people on this board that's impossible or something.

I'm really confused :P

It's an option package, nothing more. Think of it this way, even though leather may have been an option on the GT1, 99% of GT1 came with leather. BTW, the option packages are different between US and Canada. In Canada ALL GT1s have leather.

All we're saying is that if you have both leather AND steering wheel radio controls, chances are it's a GT1. But in reality who cares? It's just a bundle of options packaged together. :)

One word WARRANT for 3years. it covers that.
and I looked hard and my new insurance compant was the cheapest. and i only have 1 seeding ticket in 3 years.

And I did replace the fuel pump $ 800 and i got a`deal towing fee
was only half as much.

Yeah, I get ya... it's not that big a deal, but the whole thing kinda gives me a headache. :P

It's more just a matter of wanting to know exactly what trim my car is... not that it really makes any difference either way... or is going to change the value or anything. I guess "GT1" kinda sounds cooler, but it's not even really that, just a curiosity thing.
