Can you put just a rear bar on before you put on the front strut bar.?
Will it hurt the ride quality or whatever?? See i have bought a rear strut bar off ebay and i have not bought a front one yet. Should I wait or can i install it now?

for everyday driving, it doesn't matter.

if you are racing (or drive like it) then you would probably feel a difference, depending on how well you know your car... but if you know it that well, you'd most likely already know the answer to this question :)

honestly, you dint even need a rear one. i had a racing shop lok at my car and they said that since theres metal that braces that area already it does the job of a rear STB. my front one made a noticeable difference.

thanks so really all I need is a front bar. I just have to find a good strut bar for a reasonable price

You need a rear one to use it like mine

In all seriousness, I have a subwoofer to put in the trunk and I'm thinking of using that bar as part of the bracing for it.

As far as handling, there have been alot of debates over the use of a rear strut. Some theories are that

a- a front wheel drive car needs to be looser in the back
b- a front wheel drive car needs the bar in the back more to compensate for front wheel steering
c- if you have a fold down rear seat you need it to compensate for the lack of material that usally is behind the rear seat

and others.

Check on ebay. Drving Gear sold many of us a set for a reasonable price. You'll have a hard time getting one for the front however because GM messed up your alternator and put the positive wire in the way.

No you're not. The bar won't fit because oft he positive wire. There have been cases where the bar wore through the boot and shorted the engine out. On mid year 03 and up the positive wire is on top before that it was lower down and out of the way. He needs a bar that curves away from the alt.

you've got to be kidding me, right? of all the things on that engine they could of changed, they decided to change the position of the + alt wire? Is it at all possible to loosen and move the wire slightly down?
