Hey, well I am back before I ever left :D no, actually I left Tuesday but Monday when I wanted to tell everyone I was going to be leaving, it seems like the site was down, so I never got to say my goodbye's......anyway Tues. around 7AM we (me and my mother) left to Washington DC, took the train there (about 6 hour ride including 1 hour hanging around at Penn station) and got settled in around 4 or so in the afternoon. That night we did a night tour, Wed. we went to the air and space museum on our own (I loved it) and did a few other things, then Thurs and Fri we did a 2 day tour seeing pretty much everything else (all the Gov't buildings etc... Ford's theater, mt. vernon among many others) then Sat. we went to the Holocaust museum on our own and kinda went quickly through it, then went back to the hotel to get our stuff and got to the train station and came home (another 6 hour ride) got in around 11 last night.

We really only had 3 full days, but we managed to do alot (took alot of the tours) We saw alot of the sites, buildings and a few museums. Weather was pretty good for the most part, it was mostly 60 and only 50 1 or 2 days..... warmed up in the afternoon though. DC is built horizontal instead of vertical like NYC because no building can be taller then the Capital. the whole city is very clean, all he people are very nice and road rage is pretty low..... the oppisite applys to NYC, although you just gotta love NYC.

Although it was good to get back home, weather is getting nice (about time) but along with that comes the same ol' routine as before..... gotta get up for school tomorrow although it'll be good to see my friends again and stuff. IF you ever have a chance to go to Washington DC, go, just make sure to take the tours or you wont have a clue what much of the stuff means (as everything serves a purpose and has a meaning.

yeah it's worth it...... we went by everything kinda quick, so we were only there for maybe 2 hours, but you would have to dedicate a day (or 2?) to really read and see everything.... the guy that designed the building made it a very sad kind of atmostphere (did a good job) both inside and out..... nobody took pictures unlike the other muesums as it is just a very quiet place, but if ou have the chance to go, I would.....there is a really long line, so you gotta get there early to get a (free) ticket. would I go back? maybe, to read more of the stuff (we didn't have much time as we had a train to catch) but then again I am more interested in other things.....but overall I think almost any person would get something out of the Holocaust one way or another.

Welcome back.
I just got back myself.
Maybe they can have a lil weclome back party for us.

My mother's boyfriend goes to DC a few times a year for work. From what I hear as long as your either with a tour or know where your going it's great. But from what I understand DC can get pretty ghetto and slummy too. I, myself have never been there but as far as MYC I'll be headed there this summer on my bike. :)
