k so we finaly got the rich engine problem cleared up.. I HOPE..
replaced the O2 sensor, temp sensor, threw the coil housing out and went to spark plug wires instead( fun fun fun ) replaced the fuel filter and flashed the comp. started driving home on sat night and got challenged to a race by a 98 or 97 dodge ram. floored it and before I knew it rata rata rata:eek: . so take it back to the shop, grab the old stethiscope. guess i got two shotty lifters cause they are banging around like no tomarrow. so this weekend were ripping apart the motor ..... again and pulling out the lifters and replacing them. :offtopic: also because of the 32 CM dump of snow we got this weekend i ripped off 1 of my side skirts and part of my bumper. so i get to reinstall that as well.
it was so bad in some places that the snow came up past the bottom of the doors. THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE :2up:

wow...sounds like your having fun. Hey a bit off topic but, what all did you do to convert the ignition over to use spark plugs?

WELL ITS MONDAY and well we got every thing pulled apart and together again, and I checked my timming marks 3 or 4 times
but as soon as I turned over the engine, the valves made contact
with pistions and i bent 4 intake valves:pissed2: I have never worked on a more tempermental engine in my life. The only thing I can think of is I didnt bleed the intake lifters before i put them back in .. but I didnt think thay would need it as I just bleed them a month ago when I did the head gaskets last time. I dont know guys, the last G.A I had I replaced the blown 2.3 with a 3300 from a 93 G.A and I think thats the path im headed back to. That engine could take all the crap i could dish to it. :banghead:. so im looking at prices of 3300 at the junk yard and ill let you know whats up. The other question I have is the 3300 in the calias is rated only 130 for horses and the exact same 3300 in the G.A
is rated at 160 horses... is this true? WHATS UP WITH THAT?

Here we go again.... off to pick your part to look for a head and grab some valves. My plan...... get new valves, build up engine, take engine out and sell, find 3300 or 3800 ( just depending )
install, find a way of hooking up a std and let he rip.

I dunno, you'll need a computer and harness, and since the 3300 wasn't offered with a manual you may have some computer challenges in addition to maybe some fabrication to just bring the engine and tranny together. The 3800 only came with manuals in RWD F-bodies AFAIK. Plus then you wouldn't have a quad. :( It's frustrating I guess, but why not just fix it and keep it if you are gonna fix it anyways?
