2000 Grand AM SE Pics - Appearance Mods

Here's some pics of my 2000 Grand Am SE(3400 V6).
There are four RED LED Tube lights inside, one for each floor.
I have Blue strip LED lights(The pic looks stupid I know, it's better in person.), under my car. Right now only under my doors, down the road I'll get the front and back. LOL

So what do you think? Anything look stupid or anything I could add?

Have you considered de-badging the side?

Also I'm curious why you didn't put the sticker on the rear most glass in the back doors? I would have, but that's just me going with the current trend.

I like it. I like the front plate, it matches the car and gives it a nice little something extra.

ok, so um, the first thing you need to do is remove anything that has "racing" "type" or "r" IMMEDIATELY

well, if you want my honest opinion...there's not much that I like...I'm more of a fan of mods that are discrete, especially when it comes to neons and such... the light bars inside should prolly be hidden up and out of the way so that all you see is the glow in the footwell...seeing the whole bar is tacky IMHO...same with the control box the the light bars, just should be hidden away IMHO and just make it accessable when you need it but unable to be seen when you dont...the skull, which I assume is a cupholder but I could be wrong...it doesnt really go with anything in the GA interior...i mean, some cars like the Cobalts and Vibe have some chrome inside, but the GA doesnt...the blue LEDs...well, i dont really like em cuz since there's only like 6 bulbs, the effect is dotty, not much of a glow...in fact, i've hated neon AND led underbodies ever since i've seen the pictures of the CC underbody kits...they pretty much make anything else look like crap.

but on the good side...the seat covers and the wheel cover go well with your car color, but to me, the floor mats look cheapie...cloth mats with red GA logos would look nice tho!

Don't take my opinions to heart...just sharing with you since you said you wanted good and bad reviews. It's not what I would have done, but if you like it, that's all that really matters.

The skull looks like Iron Maiden's Eddie to me, and I think it's an air freshner. I wouldn't put a cup on my vent like that, but it would keep the drink cool if you did. It's also tear the vent out and make a mess, but it would be a frosty cool mess.

As much as I hate to criticize I will say that I also prefer fabric matts and I would like to see more Pontiac logos instead of the R logos which typically refer to Japan only Honda's, the Type R Honda's that move but fail crash tests so are mostly banned from North America.

Anyway, it's a start and like everyone's car I'm sure it's a work that will never be finished. We all change as people and so do our cars and other posesions.

Yup, that skull is a cup holder. I didn't know that the "type" or "R", were honda logos, thanks for the info... Down the road(Currently between jobs), I'll probably look for Pontiac Racing matts, seat covers, etc. I really like the color red in the matts, covers, etc, too bad for the R logo. But like you said, its a ongoing project, so it'll all for fun. :D

As for the tubes and control box showing, I'll taking another look and see what I can do. Same with the sticker in the window...

But anyway, I really like my car and that's all that really matters. Thanks for the input.

lol. that's a great cup holder, but then again, i have a thing for skulls. take a look around the site. some people have posted pics of how they mounted the control box, maybe you can get some ideas from them. also, keep an eye on the classified section and ebay, you'll find great deals. good luck with the car.

Yeah... personally, I can't help but laugh at any car that has any "RACING" decals, and is bone stock and under 200hp.

Anyways, forget all the other stuff... first thing you need to do, in my opinion, that will cost you next to nothing is get rid of that dealer badge. Why do these stealerships assume we want to advertise for them? They're not giving us free cars, why should we be their free billboards? :P

I like the metallic shade of the red but it's screaming the most obvious things like wheels, tint, headlights... and the like of..

My opinion? Take off dealer sticker, debadge, lose the skull and anything with type R on it (rated R for rice) Hide those neons and that control box further down and take off trailer hitch if you don't use it. Now what you need is tint, windows and tails would look sweet :king:. Trust me I did the same thing, regret putting money on seatcovers and such. But thats just my 2cents

Oh now people lighten up. It's perfectly fine to be a racing enthuist complete with decals and not actually drive a race car. I like forumula one but you don't see me in a McLaren do you. Why is it not okay to be a spectator only of racing but to have football jerseys in your closet or that giant soccerball that you see all over mini-vans.

Anyway, toeach their own. I still like the red scheme.
