Ok I saw this car driving down the road and it looked kool so i speed up to see what it was. And it was a Grand Prix GTP but like a 2005 or maybe a 2004, but i know it was not a 2003. It was off the hook. It was hella fast too. The inside still lite up red as usual for a Pontiac. and i think the speedometer went up to 160mph. It looked, and sounded great along with being fast. Does anyone know what year it was. The is another forum in this website that shows a pic of the 2005 Grand Am thats why i think the GTP was a 2005 because it looked similar too that 2005 Grand Am. But why would a 2005 come out in 2003 and if it has who would have it in my small town of Modesto.

You can go to http://www.pontiac.com/grandprix/index.jsp?source=old to see it and its stats. It is so bad. It has 260hp. Compared to my 150hp. But i only have a V4. But still thats a lot. Probly more than a Grand Am Gt or a Grand Prix GT. Maybe even a Grand Prix GTP 2003. It says at this site that it outpreformed a BMW 330i. It cost a lot of money but it is worth it. It is my dream car.

antirice you beat me to it, i would love to see a pic of the crank used in the v4, cause that would be intense.
I don't really like the look of the new GP. There was one at the recent auto show, but we couldn't get in it. Too bad. Anyway, I don't like it. I think those exhaust tips look cheap.
Maybe it will grow on me though. I didn't like the current Bonneville when it came out, and now I think it looks pretty good.

apparently (from what I've heard), the scat v4's are just 350 Chevy's cut in half, so most of the internals convert right over, don't know how true that is

Is it me or would the crank to a 'V4' be very simular to a inline 4. You know a few bearings, a few rob journals, etc.
Anyhow, as the term 'V4' is typically used by those that are less informed all those that are quick to jump on them need to remember that not all 4 bangers are inline either.

correct.....for example...Subaru usues a "flat 4"....a horizontally opposed cylinder setup. Been around for 30 or so years. They still use it in the WRX to this day!

Here is a pic of a 2004 Grand Prix GT I took on wednesday at my local Pontiac dealer. It was the first 04 GP at this dealer.

Right now, this GP is sitting beside this 2003 Chevy Corvette 50e ann. convertible. They belong to a rich man in my small village.

The Comp G is fast, but I could NEVER own one- I cant stand the styling of them- not attractive in my book.
