Just wanted to say hi to all you grand am people out there!
I just got a red 97 GAGT sedan with the black leather (I think its half pleather though) interior.
Only has 119,000km (approx 74,000 miles for you southerners) and it looks like it was owned by someone who was VERY anal about his car, the best type of people to buy from IMO.
Everything on it looks like it was replaced at the first sign's of going bad, it has 4 new michelin hydroedge tires, new exaust from the cat back, new serpentine belt, new plugs and wires, new brakes, and judging from the little yellow sticker in the windshield, it has had its regular oil changes!!
Transmission seems a little "whiney" so im taking it in friday to have the filters/fluid changed, but other then that (not sure if thats a problem or not yet) it's in perfect condition!!
I previously owned a 94 cavalier, and the grand am seems so much more civil, it actually doesnt seem right :roll2:
I actually miss the sound of the engine about to explode everytime you push the cavalier up to highway speeds (or ya know.... school zone speeds), but im sure the grand am will grow on me just as much as the cavalier did.
