Teh GA has ports on both high pressure side and low pressure side.
Yer prolly using the wrong port.
Sorry, I don't know which is which on the car, and even if I did, I don't know which to use (unless I read the can).

If it has a blue cap that's the low side port ..
Use the one down by the compresser also trun the can upside down and hold it above the fitting I also use the max ac setting not the reg one

blue cap low pressure side is where you charge it.
just make sure your ac system has some oil in it otherwise its going to cost you a fortune to get your ac running.
(compressor will break down, sending burned chunks of rubber through the whole ac system clogging everything in its path)
the pro's normally purge the system before charging it, leaving a vacuum pressure in the system. This is also a very basic test to see if the system will maintain the vacuum before a charge.
if the system has been empty / discharged for a while or open, its probably contaminated and you should probably replace your reciever drier, and add 8 Oz of oil to the whole system. (2oz condensor, 2 oz reciever drier, 2 oz compressor, 2 oz evap core)
4 oz in the condesnor and 4 oz in the reciever drier could also work, as the reciever drier acts as a resevoir for refrigerant oil anyway. (assuming the compressor still has oil in it)

you may not be low on refrigerant. If you have an obstruction in the line somewhere it will effect the efficiency of your system. If it is not taking the r-134a it may not need refrigerant. My advice to you is have it checked by a pro. Does the recharge hose you are using have a pressure gauge onit? If so, hook it up with the system running and post the pressure here.

we have the CCOT (cycling clutch oriface tube) system not the expansion valve type, so the reciever/drier is called the accumulator... I really dont know why they changed the name, it is the same darn thing...
