Hi,
I need to find a window regulator for my 98 Buick. Here the dealer wants $700 Cnd for it.. too expensive! So I found it on the web at a few places; anyone heard of these (reputations?)
Autoparts warehouse (They want usd 92.72 shipping incl).
Parts Train (same price as above)
Car Stuff (same part # and price as above)

What kind of Buick is it? Are you sure you need the entire regulator or do you just need the motor?
$700 is certainly ridiculous too. Motor went out on my Grand Am's pax window. Dealerships wanted $300-$500 to repair the window. So I bought a $40 made-in-USA [OEM supplier] replacement motor off eBay from 1A Auto and replaced it myself (as most people here have done with their power windows). $40 compared to several hundred dollars--big difference!
I've never bought stuff or even heard of those sites you mentioned but I would recommend 1A Automotive for such parts. www.1AAuto.com
Seems like it's the same price everywhere though, anyway.

THanks! Unfortunately the regulator and motor are in one assembly part; so you change them both. Chilton says 2-3 hours, and the guy at the dealer said 2 "painful" hours as the access to the part is difficult (there are two side-door-impact bars in the way).
It's a Buick Century (Limited), 1998. 65,000 km.

There is a guy who is popular in the Regal/Grand Prix community that often buys parts cars and then sells the parts. Since your Century is basically the same as a Regal, they probably share regulators. I don't know if used would be up your alley, but it may be worth it to check it out. I bought an ignition module from him about 1.5 years ago, and I was very happy with him. You can email him at GTPED@msn.com

Why not try a search of used regulators at www.car-part.com
I picked up a $700 regulator for $35

My 99 Cavalier was the same way. I picked up the motor on ebay and just replaced that. Saved me a ton of money. You can replace just the motor, but you will have to drill out pop rivots (my motor came with the replacements). I ended up cutting a little larger hole where my motor was just to make things easier. If you have the right tools, I bet you could do this in an hour or less.
