It's still there. Merged.
You can only attach one image per post when uploading them directly here. Please keep posts within the same thread if you want to add multiple pics.

cleanest in maryland huh?
I mean, its an SE w/ some rims... its a good start, but you got a long way to go :)
lambo doors will look really lame and out of place on a 4 door unless you do like suicides for the rear or something
here's some competition from maryland:

Yea my car is about to get a new engine. Ive also got a few performance mods lined up and then in spring Im gonna prolly pick an all day test and tune and get some new times. Gonna hope for mid 14's if all goes well.
Terp you gotta really nice ga. It kinda upsets me though that pretty much every ga i see is all show lol. I saw a red se with an rksport kit the other day, and theres a few custom painted ga's around with like ebay and aas kits.

Grand am's cost too much money to make fast, atleast as fast as i would want it to be. i have another little toy of mine that i use when i want to go fast.

Yea I understand you. Im only 17 and my ga is my only car,so I try to make it more fun to drive. Plus Im not really a "show" type person.
its one of those "to each his own" type of things. everyones got their own style and ways of doing things.

well hells bells ya'll. HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND boy here. tho i'm in Ky now. let me know whats up and all. i hoping to get into the hi 14's with whats listed below done to the car. if the auto tranny holds up long enuff to get a few good runs on it. Mason Dixon Dragway is jus 10 minutes from my parents house. mine might not be the cleanest( boy it needs detailing right now  ) but i'm hoping it'l be one of the quickest.

11-30-2006, 10:32 AM
When you heading back to MD? Im gonna go back to the track in cecil when it opens back up in spring. 14's shouldnt be hard as long as I dont break anything else, which might be a problem with over 132k miles lol.

11-30-2006, 04:31 PM
the cars at home now, and i'l be picking it up and bringing it back this way behind my truck come xmas. but i'l only be home for the weekend. i'l be back in may for a cuzins wedding, but i dunno how long i'l be staying there. and they have had 99+ gt's hitting 14's with out too many major mods. think one guy here had headers, exhaust, intake and drag tires and got a 14.8 or so. and come to think of it, i think he had an SE 3400... i figure that i should be at about 220 or so hp, and that should be enuff to get a 2800lb car moving to high 14's. and as soon as i get the car down here, its getting gutted, back seat and all is coming out. probly even take the ac out since its dead at the moment anyway.
ihatemygrandamg
11-30-2006, 09:18 PM
Yea people like slowbird and hondacivicsuck have run I think 14.7-14.8 with nothing really but a intake, exhuast, and pcm. No headers for me though, too old and too many miles :(
I just ditched my a/c yesterday
litdevil316
11-30-2006, 11:05 PM
cool. i dont see why headers would be that big a deal on a higher milage car. unless its jus a price thing, which i feel ya on there. took me going to iraq twice to get this much on the car.

Yea well Im only 17 and its my daily driver, and at 132k right now it seems like Im doing more repairing than modding. I could get the money I just dont really wanna throw any more money at this motor. Im gonna try to save up for another 3400 with less miles and get ported heads, headers, and maybe a 3500 top end swap.
litdevil316
12-06-2006, 02:39 PM
yea, that wouldnt be too bad an idea. could get the new(er) motor now and start re-bulding it. find a buddy or someone with a shop or garage that you can start piecing together every thing. then once the new motor is ready, ya can jus swp it it.

Check out 60degreev6.com, because ben over there did flowsheets and comparisons from the 3400/3500 setups, stock and ported. The store on there also has many 3x00 parts and they also do great port work.
There was also someone on gagt.com that did it and posted a thread with pics . $100 is a great ass deal! Mind if I ask where?

my uncle is a mechanic and knows alot of the people at all of the junk yards around here, i asked him to keep an eye out for a g6 an about 2 weeks ago he called me an told me that they had one at a junk yard about 2 mins from here.
litdevil316
12-09-2006, 12:46 PM
wow. g6 in a junk yard all ready...? ha ha. teach GM to replace the grand ams! lol. was probly a wrecked out one any way. but if he finds a 96-98 with a 5spd, let me know.
ill keep an eye out, i know last time i went in there they had 4-5 96-98 ga's i just dont know if they were 5sp though
litdevil316
12-09-2006, 04:11 PM
cool. looking to swap out my 4auto for a 5spd some day.
ihatemygrandamg
12-09-2006, 04:34 PM
I just went to one of my local yards the other day, had a 5spd 2.4 cavalier z24, but its a bunch of tight asses there that charge out the ass.
And hey man if you come across any other 3500's let me know if you dont mind. Not sure what else they come in but I know the g6,malibu,etc.
litdevil316
12-10-2006, 12:00 AM
yea, i hear ya there. wanna try to find an actual grand am, that way i can get the car, take out all the bits and pieces for the tranny and then put it in my car. stuff like shift linkage and clutch lines and what not. i have no clue if cavys and ga use same elinkage and crap.
