Havent used Zaino, but based on everyones opinion I'd go with that. Personally speaking I used Zymol and Meguiar's Gold Class and both made my car SHINE! :)

That was done by hand, although I just got a cordless buffer for Christmas to make this summer's detailing a little easier. :)

How expensive do buffers run?

I don't think they are that expensive. Although I don't know for sure but I think they may be around 50$ US or so.

So I waxed my car last tuesday. So if I wanted re wax it to get more shine and cleanliness would I have to wash all over again first?
and I saw you traded your 99 SE2 for a 2003 GT. Did you pay anything extra on top of the trade? That trade is making me think about doing the same thing

My '02 has a fresh 3 step Zaino product job and a clay bar job...it is the brightest and shiniest bright red imaginable. I would definately recommend this stuff.

Already asked this but
I washed and waxed my car a week ago. Would I have to completely wash it again to wax it again. Just trying to get it super shined.

yes, whenever you drive your car and want to wax it again, you HAVE to wash it. if you don't, you'll wax all that dirt into your car's finish.
how much is meguires 3 step?
and does it take long?
So who/where sells Zaino in Canada? And what is the application of it like? Same as wax?

Were you serious with this question? There are 5 (FIVE) model years in there. Of COURSE he paid extra on top of the trade. Nobody gets a straight trade on what was essentially a 5 year old car when trading for the same model. Plus he went from an SE2 to a GT (trim level, not model). I mean come on!
No offence Shawn.

Check out http://www.zainobros.ca for application instructions and the order form. Application is similar to wax, with some very iportant divverences they outline on their site.
Strip the wax off the car.
Start with Z1, then put a coat of Z5 over the top. Once dry, buff off. Follow with a coat of Z6 spray. n For future coats, apply a coat of Z6, then apply Z5 or Z2. Apply Z6 between coats.

Holy "You're in the Army now. Spit polish everything!"!!!!!!!! I just wanna wax my car and make it shine. That's just like the spit shine I was taught to do in Air Cadets oh so many years ago. Apply Nugget black. Spit and go round in little cirlces. Do this until you have a base. Then switch to Kiwi black and repeat until you have a mirror finish. Remember, spit is important.
That's enough work to do just for shoes! But on a car!!!!!! Wow!

Don't worry Tom, no need for spit. ;) That's what the Z6 is for! :thumbup2:

I've used the stuff. The instructions really make it sound worse than it is. But I have to admit, the initial process is a little time consuming, but well worth it on a Black Car like yours!!! If it looks that good in pics it has to look incredible in person :thumbup2:
On mine I really don't see a big difference between Zaino and Liquid Glass, but I just did the Liquid Glass application....let's see if it can last as long as Zaino!!!

Is anybody using Klasse to maintain the finish? Here is some info about it:
http://www.properautocare.com/klasconkit.html
I haven't used it yet, was hoping somebody already has experience with it.
I'm starting to think I'll just get some paste floor wax and use the ol' floor polisher we have on it and be done with it. Either that or shellac it.
My car isn't in good enought shape for that much effort, not with the paint flakingoff at the fender wells. I have shored it up by peeling off the worst of it and covering it with undercoat tar.

I think Sherwin Williams has a 10 year guarantee for peeling and flaking. Hmmmmm, how about a nice mauve.....you can even put shutters on your opera windows :)
I saw a lavender late issue Fiero GT tonight. I was going to track down the owner and ask about it, but then thought nah! I'll let him maintain his individuality.
My efforts are to just hold it over until I can afford to address the problem properly. Real PAINT!

I'm a Zaino guy all the way - every chance I get
Bought some Eagle One wet wax today. Tried it and it works pretty good. Just spray it on a wet car (after washing of course! ;) ), and then wipe it off with a dry towel.
Pretty much the same stuff as you get sprayed on your car at the car wash I think. Leaves the car with that 'just waxed' feel. And shiny too!
Not as good as paste wax though.
real wax is the only way to go bud!!!!
Well, yeah. I have been waxing and polishing and detailing cars since long before you were born. But I'm not that energetic, even with a buffer/polisher.
This stuff works, but isn't as good as a true waxing. It is a good interim step.
I need to clean & condition my leather before I worry about the the flaky paint too much.

THE ABSOLUTELY BEST WAX out there is Klasse. I will be switching to it soon... but I have been using Zymol.
http://forums.clubrsx.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=1297062
The rear door has zymol on it... the front door and front fender were newly painted. As you can see, the reflection extends just as perfect w/ the rear door.

BBT: I've seen the guy.. he's a real dope from what I've heard. the front plate says "POU PAS" what ever that means (sounds like his GF bought him vanity plates.)
Anyhow... if you're just looking to put SOMETHING on, then I'd go for plain turtle wax in the bottle.
Most of us that have been giving you advice for Zaino or Meguiar's figured you were putting together a show car ;)
Anyhow... if I remember right, zymol is a polish, which means that you would still need to wax every so often to actually protect the paint right? Either way, I clay down the car usually middle of spring and late fall before it gets too cold, then wax with something (I've switched to using Meguiar's, but that because the zaino stuff is too expensive, I have a light car anyhow) and then polish with zymol 2-3 times a month, then re-wax. I take most of the junk off in fall and wax with 2-3 good heavy coats of turtle wax for winter, and just use a car wash every week or so.
