quick question

my 97 ga when it shifts into 2nd it squaks the tires. should it do this also shifts pretty hard. it is an auto

under normal driving? ahh no it shouldn't do this

no it squaks them only if i hammer on it. but it always shifts hard

If I've got the pedal pounded, I'll chirp 2nd almost every time, but I've got a 5-speed.

see mine auto and if i go 3/4 peddle or more it will burn them

i got a 96 with an auto, mine also chirps them into second when i hit it pretty hard, it also shifts pretty hard to, so i guess its normal, maybe its just us 2.4l guys, hoory for 4cly power!!!

Have you got very little tread on your tires?

guess its normal then. mine isnt to bad for power. all i got is a muffler and i just ran it last night at the track and got a 16.7 @ 84

Seems the auto's weren't pussycats like most are. My old Cavi was fun as hell in stick form, but an auto was abismal.
