If you get the AED hood, you can rig up your stock airbox like mine. It's not just a hole in the airbox (that would put unfiltered air into the engine) but PM me if you'd like the detailed instructions. It's cheaper, and actually ducts the air into your airbox as opposed to ducting the air into the entire engine bay.

The hoods really don't help much if at all, for performance go with a cold air intake, which will suck actual cold air from an area behind your headlight, installs a little harder but its really not hard.

my hood grabs the air that's not 6 inches from the ground. The air right on the pavement is hot hot hot, especially here in AZ, so I like having mine the way it's set up. And it make it easier for me to run alchy injection. ;)

so, the intake on the hood wont give any air to my WAI ? i was looking into the AED hood, But it cost way too much. Are there any cheaper alternatives beside the sc/t ?

You can get the SC/T style hood and fab up some ducting to the air box.

CAI's do help in normal road driving but when it comes to track, won't help much because if its a hot day, you'll be sucking in over 100degree temp air. Just realized this myself lately. On a cool day yea a WAI will work but on hot days,a WAI and ram air will actually work best because the air above the track/road surface is actually cooler.
