im looking at getting the DHP but i havent found an answer to my question that i have, will it affect my car starter that is intalled, has anyone that has the dhp a car starter and did you run into any problems, plus is the gains you get with DHP worth the price and having to use 91+ octane, also ive tried running premium in my car before and it gets worse gas mileage then with regular, is that because the factory pcm is tuned for regular and is just wasting the higher octane?

Ok, i got the dhp about a month or so ago and I am in love with it. The car shifts hard under acceleration and shift points being moved greatly helps i think. Usually a grand am will shift from second to third at about 72 mph. Now my car shifts at 80. I have had it up to 130 and still had room to go but let off it. Gas wise i run 93 octane from BP and i gte about 30 mpg on the highway with some slight messing around. You might wanna get the CAI though because that will help too not only in performance but in gas too. As for the starter...I have the factory starter in my car and it works fine nothing is affected at all. When you install it it says to do the security relearn-sucks make sure to have another car and a set of jumper cables... When that is done it says you need to take the car to a dealership for a CASE learn-didnt have to do it with mine only has to be done when the SES light comes on. Hope that helps.

ya i was skeptic about ordering it but rear that most people here who have it absolutely love it so i think im gonna go ahead and order it, and i already have the dr speed stage 3 cai cat back exhaust w/ flowmaster 80series and ffp underdrive crank pulley. my biggest concern was the gas mileage with 91+ but with having the dhp configured for that in theory i should get better mpg then stock on regular. and you said you have the factory starter is the a remote start or just the factory keyless entry?
P.S. just a quick no real purpose question ive heard some people say that after the dhp their car chirps going into 2nd, anyone here actually have that happen?

And yes i chirp them going into second with 19's on the car so have fun. I don't think it will mess with the starter.
