So I picked her up roughly two weeks ago. The ol' 98 GA was just becomming too much to deal with.
The Mazdaspeed 6 - man, what a fun car. This thing ROCKS!! 2.3L turbo 274hp/280lb-ft 6-speed tranny AWD sport suspension HID's big brakes, Potenza tires, 18" rims, Bose stereo, 8 AIRBAGS! Tim Allen Arrrr arrrgh!

Yeah we had one of those at the shop put in some mirrors that flip in with puddle lights and blinkers. Also put in an HKS SSQ BOV, sounds pretty good, the kid was a real douche who has it but the car is pretty nice, the interior's real nice. Be careful though cuz he borke a rear axle, just remember on AWD u cant rev it higher than 4k and pop the clutch. Anyway congrats on the new ride, and show us some interior pics!
Peace,
Andrew

wooot!! A fellow speed 6 driver.. hehe gotta love the adrenaline surge when you drive it ;) soooo jealous you got white, me and my guy could only choose between red, silver and black.. so we got the silver one... any mods planned for it? I know one other guy who has one, and he's gone nuts with it already, lowered, intercooler.. the whole deal.. I thought the car didn't really need much done lol..

Very hot Rob, for about two years now Leanne has been babbling about trading in her GA for a Mazda 6. BEtter hold tight to your keys next time your over.
BTW, was it just the GA that went buh bye?

I just have to make sure....you still have the T/A though right? If so then very nice choice :D The six is a sweet car.

Thanks for the positive comments guys - I love the car so far.
John, I'd be more than happy to take leanne for a ride. Yes, I traded in the GA for the car and I still have the TA - but not for long. Two car payments is one-too-many, so the TA has to go :-( I look at it as a temporary down-time for a year or two until I can buy another toy.
Planned mods: CAI, turbo-back, Defi boost guage, shark-fin antenna, tint, rims, BOV, FMIC maybe, boost controller, ECU tune. Just a couple basic things - I mean, this is a lease after all :-p

Have you demodded the TA yet, if so would you be asking with and/or without modifications?

The TA has begun the process of demodding. I have the drivetrain mostly back to stock, though all the go-fast parts are still in the engine. I would probably do somewhere about $20,500 in present condition, $19500 once its demodded and 100% stock.

DEMODDING?!? Why the HELL for??

because my car made baby jesus cry...
More honestly, I need to live with only one car payment and a practical car until my residency and first 6 months of dental practice are through - then I'm thinking about picking up the new Camaro or the dodge Challenger.

Too damn bad!! ... I didn't realize you were doing that bud because if I did, I would have SERIOUSLY considered buying it 'as it was' (or at least I would have looked into seeing if the $$$ was available and the process for getting it into Canada) because there are not too many cars that I like as much as yours ... taking that ride apart is a sin brother :tears:

Well since the GA might be history, too bad I couldn't talk Leanne into a nice TA for a speedy family car. lol
Shoot when my daughter was John's age I was driving my '92 Z28 as a daily driver. :)
