2.3L L4 FI DOHC is this a quad 4? If so its what I found in a 1993 grand am. how much guess BHP or w/e the rating is if just the engine was put on a dyno?

^ :lol: That may be the best and most useful emoticon ever.
You can use the 8th digit of the VIN to determine which of the 3 flavors it has...
3 = L40 SOHC (SE only)
D = LD2 DOHC
A = LG0 DOHC HO (GT only)

2.3L = 2.3 liter
L4 = Inline 4
FI = Fuel injected
DOHC = Dual over-head cam
HP = 150-155HP

If the 8th digit is "3" then you have the "Quad OHC" (SOHC). Carfax isn't the most accurate thing in the world... and apparently they suck at differentiating between different engine types.

That sucks for me! I dunno well I was thinking of getting a white 94 gt V6 for $1600 what would be the mileage limitation on that price?

What does it say on the engine cover? If it says Quad4 DOHC, then it is DOHC. But if it says SOHC, then thats what it is.

It says neither. It says "Quad OHC" which I can unfourtunatly interpret as SOHC
