Ok so SLP is no longer making in the CAT-back systems for the GA and before I stretch my budget to make the purchase of one of the last remaining SLP's, I had 2 question's:

1. Is the SLP every bit as good or better than a custom bent/built CAT-back?

2. Are the prices on custom exhausts higher, lower, or about even with SLP?

Borla is REALLY expensive IMHO, but if custom is going to cost as much as Borla, or more than SLP, then I will get the SLP now before they are gone forever.:(

Thanks. I think I am going to get the SLP next check, custom may be too expensive and I amy not even be happy with it. I also think this will work better with the RSM supercharger that I plan to do down the road since it is 2.5" vs. the 2.25" of the Borla.

SLP is probably a better choice. Borla and SLP both sound good. My SLP is loud, but I am fixing that. I got sick of the drone inside the car, so I just ordered a Borla Pro XS muffler to get it attached to my current SLP piping. It should sound close to the Borla cat-back. 2.5" is better no matter what.

I love my slp and dont think its too loud at all, I quess cause most of my friends have 4cyl's and v8s which are much louder with exhuast. Check out lmperformance.com, was only like $413 and they did offer free shipping for a while.

I love my SLP, and i think with the closeouts going on right now, you should be able to get them almost as cheap as a custom sytem. A custom system shouldn't cost nearly as much as the borla. I think my custom bent catback on my truck was like $180, but that's with no muffler. I would recommend the SLP, it's not very loud, but cruising at around 2,000 rpms there is quite a drone, from what you say you shouldn't mind that though.

There is a drone at 2k but how often and how long do you sit at 2k though. Maybe if cruising hwy but I don't go that fast.

I drive almost three hours on the freeway when i go to or from school, so it does get a little annoying sometimes. But i still like the system.

I remove my SLP tips for winter driving. Last year I got 2.25" resonator tips from ebay and reduced them with adaptors. It knocked down the cabin noise quite a bit.
