Cant see any fuses marked for the cig lighter on my 99ga. I need the ciglighter working for the good old cell phone charger.

Are the fuses for the cig lighter located under the hood by any chance? Everything else in the car seams to work fine.

They should be on the left side up under the dash. to the left of the strearing wheel. If you can't read them, you can pull each one, one at a time. Another hint is the cig liter should be using a higher rated fuse. It draws more then say tail lights, so the fuse is rated highter.

Nothing in there is labled for the cig lighter, nor is any of them blown.

Well I may be wrong, but I have never seen a cig-lighter fuse up under the hood. ? have you tried a different lighter head in the whole. Or have you tried plugging in the phone and that don't work either.

My other thought would be to check the wiring going to the lighter. Sorry not much help.

Its not the charger becasue it works in other cars. Im gonna dig under the hood after work and have a look.

Worse comes to worse its not hard to wire a direct 12v fused to the main supply but i dont wanna do that :(

Yes, the fastest way to start having eletrical grimlens is to start adding stuff to the GA.
maybe the socket in the car is bad. Pull a cig lighter out of a friends car and try it in there. If it don't get hot either, back to no power or the recieving socket in the car could be bad.

Good luck, someone else might come along with better help.

Well i learned something....My eye sight aint what it used to be. The fuse was in fact blown. I also learned the cause of a few other problems...But thats going into my other topic.
