OK i feel like being stupid and wasting money on a small car video system. i was just going to put a small dvd player i never use into my glove box and then buy two super cheap monitors off ebay. Obviously the dvd player isn't meant for car audio applications, but is there an easy way i could wire the dvd player up to my car stereo so it could play through my speakers? I just got the idea in my head and ive been thinkin bout it for a litl bit...Thanks.

I was thinkin and my crappy stereo has an auxilury input. Could I just find the wire for the input and then connect to that? And also put an on off switch in so that I can still use the input for my mp3 player? I might be thinking too hard or not hard enough...not sure.

i would say it would be easier to just get the in car dvd kit, which comes with the player and one or two screens or whatever. thats what my buddy did with his car. probably cheaper to do it this way too
also i doubt you could find the auxillary input cable, because everything is internal on the head unit, unless your talking about taking that apart too?

Yep, you can certainly use the aux input on your deck for the audio output of the DVD player...and you can also indeed use a simple y-adapter and run both your mp3 player and dvd to the same input - just be VERY certain you don't play both at the same time ;)

If this is a home dvd player, I might be concerned with its ability to deal with larger shocks from driving and such...as well as humidity and temperature xtremes....
