No more chime even w/ adapter

so last month i gutted the monsoon system out of my fiance's car, got the nice $80 (only spent $60) chime module, which by the way worked fine w/ aftermarket radio + monsoon amp still in the car.

But after finally ditching all monsoon products and buying aftermarket, and letting the eclipse deck run the speakers, the chime no longer works.

The harness seems to be half way working, what i mean is that it still will play after the car is off until the driver door is opened, so the relay is working, but i'm not getting any audible tone for chimes through the speakers.

Any ideas?

You aren't getting any chimes through the speakers? I thought the chimes were supposed to come from the chime module, no?

Sorry I don't know much about the chime modules...

If not and the chime module operates by speaker in/speaker out, that would mean it would have to interrupt the HU connection to the speakers in order to chime them. In that case there's either going to be something wired wrong somewhere or some problem with the module.

the chime does interrupt the h/u and sends a tone through the speakers. it worked when the monsoon amp was in the car, but now that it isn't, no chime.

i remeber hearing that you have to keep your monsoon stuff in ie: deck and amp and just relocate it so everything runs correctly but i think you can get a chip to over ride that cuz mine everything is out... idk maybe you need a different chip? i got a free install w/ my deck so i didnt mess with it
