I just took the system out of my 98 GA, and put it in my 92 Blazer FullSize, and hooked everything up the same.. The problem is that I now cannot get the subs to sound right. They hardly have any of the same punch before, (In my car it would make your soda go flat, and shake your teeth). I realize because of the much bigger open air space in the truck, they won't have the same punch, but these don't even sound the same. They have an odd "flapping?" kind of noise... It's hard to describe, they move the same as they had before, it's not irratic, I just can't seem to get a good clean bass tone out of them. Any ideas? I'm running a Pioneer Premier 6800MP, an AudioBahn A800T 2ch., and 2 12" AW1251's. All wires appear to be correct, they are the same as they were in my car, I'm also running a second amp for my 6x9's with seperate RCA's/power/ground cables.

i took my system out of my car a while ago but then put it back in. when i put it back in i did everything the same, but they didnt sound good at all. the sound you described as "flapping" is kind of what i was hearing. So i checked over everything again and it turned out my ground wasnt secured all the way. once i tighened up the ground wire they sounded just like they use to. so my guess would be to check your ground.

They sound out of phase to me. make sure you have the - and + correct from the amp to the subs.
