View Full Version : Rattling hubcaps

I've been blessed with the noisy plastic wheel covers on my GA. Everytime I hit a bump in the road they rattle. Annoying...and embarassing. Anyone have any ideas or solutions to on how quiet them down? The retaining nuts are on as snug as they will go without stripping.

I had the same problem :( ... try this ... loosen them up, but not so loose they will fall off ... what is happening is that you are tightening them up so much that the cap is flexing ... it worked for me :)

Same thing with mine, but loosening them worked for a bit...I ended up replaceing all 4 of them....Pontiac wanted like 36 bucks a piece for them......But http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/, has them for like 20 bucks......If they are the stock hub caps :)

$36US each?! WOW ... that is expensive ... I paid roughly $25CDN each for mine :)
