maybe your feet?? or a leak somewhere.
Best way to dry is to get all the excess water up and get a rag and push on the carpet and sop up all the water that you can. if you leave it in there it will mildew and leave a nice smell and mess.

Wet/Dry vac works really well.

Well I had the same problem a short while ago... the thing with my car was that it had holes in the firewall and the water was leaking in through there :( Anyways, if your carpet is really wet, I strongly advise taking it out, drying it, and wet/dry vaccing the floor with the carpet out. When i pulled my carpet, I vaccumed out about 1.5 gallons of water of my floor! :gravey:

Use a wet/dry vac first. Then put pressure on it with some towels to soak up the rest. After that go out and buy carpet cleaner. Look for one in a clear bottle with pink fluid. I think the company is called costal??? It will send cleaners through all layers of the carpet so that you have no mildew or oders. Car detailing at its best (knew it would come in handy one day). Check your air Conditioner for leaks because 9 times out of 10 it is that build up. It could very well be your shoes or even a leak in the firewall.

I had this problem with my GA.
It started happening after the first rain that we had after buying the car. It was pretty bad. Stunk up the car.
The dealer I purchased it from had to replace the door seals and he kindly replaced my carpeting so I could get that great new car smell back.
I would feel around the door seals after a rain and see if you can locate a leak anywhere.
yeah i did and its not from that its like its from that plasitc rubbery square lookin thing!

If so it sounds like the Air Conditioning. Once and a while you will get bad condensation build up and they put tiny seep holes in it so that the water can escape. If it is where I think you are saying it is then that is the problem. You may have to take it to the dealership to get it fixed.

I thought my wet floors were from rain. it was thr brtiile plastic heater core connectors. they were leaking coolant inside the car. so I first replaced the core with an aluminum one. now I gotta ge the rest of the dampness out. so find the cause of the leak first. or you will be wasting time and money drying out floorwells.
