I know nothing of the the RK kit. However. I do know that plenty of people use the gutter guard clips to fasten mesh grills. I've used them, and they work perfectly. Again...I know nothing of the RK kit. If my reply is meaningless....disregaurd.

Silicone or some simple bondo,no need to drill holes. The bondo way is what I did for my grilles

I think my bodyshop used some kind of epoxy stuff. It's black in color, whatever it is.

I added mesh to my gf's car, and I made it removable. The easiest way to do this is get under the front bumper, fiberglass or epoxy some sort of flexable rod (I used brazing rods) to the top of the opening. Wait for it to dry good, bend them straight, slip the rod through a hole in the mesh, then bend the rod back so you dont see it.

Holds tight and you can remove the mesh if it needs to be cleaned (damn bugs) or replaced.

yeah if you don't wanna take them out you just shape the metal around the back of the vents. Once you got it shaped mix up some bondo, put the mesh back on and just drop the bondo over the mesh, onto the back of the bumper like you'd put glue on something. Hold the mesh for a couple of minutes, until you see the bondo starting to dry, then you can let go. If ure hella quick you can mix up one batch and do both... if you've never worked with bondo before, i'd suggest you make just enough to do one at a time
