Well, there's one problem with my generation, as I like to say, not neccessarily my generation but here I go.
If you have the time, tools, and space, pull the motor out, look into getting the black and head machined.
Milzy Motorsports (http://www.milzymotorsports.com)
If you buy those parts, some of them ( like the head ) doesn't need machined it already is I believe.
BUT DON'T BUY THE STAGE 2 HEAD AND NOT THE PUSHRODS, OR VALVE SPRINGS.
Example:
I know someone, took their cavalier, shaved 3 milimeters off the head. Left the stock rods. One of the valves slapped the piston, and made it throw a rod. Don't half-ass it.

If you have serious money spring for forged engine parts and a supercharger. You could do a turbo, but on a pushrod motor, the supercharger will do so much more.

you need to learn more about cars before you start this.
1) its a CAI not a CIA (cold air intake, not the central intelligence agency)
2) use the search button, all of these hav ebeen discussed.
3) heads are internally on the engine. headERS are replacements for the exhaust manifold. completely different parts.

WOW someone needs to realize what a typo is i know what a CAI it was just a double typo... i know the difference between heads and headers just another typo (i do alot of typos) just happended to be asking if the ss headers are a good brand to go with while also asking why not to buy the stage 2 heads from milzy..... and accindently put heads instead of headers for the ss question my bad ........just a misunderstanding next time i will type a little slower....... i also hope poeple wont be so cocky...

What he was trying to say was if you get the Stage 2 heads, make sure you get the push rods that go with it. If you use the new head with the stock push rods you stand the chance of having a piston slap a valve. He never said not to get the Stage 2 heads. But it shouldn't really matter unless you get the heads milled as much as his buddy did.
Best thing to do is call Milzy and ask what you need to get.
